Hi Matthew. I've done the Shilonda trail many times. Dosent require much of a map to locate it. As you enter SGNP, you'll have the small playground to your left. At the Juction, leave the straight road and turn left towards the boating area and move along the same road. Without taking any turns continue along the road and after apprx 3 kms you'll come to a circle. Take a right and continue up on the slope. At the top of slope you'll see a sign for Shilonda trail. Turn left and the trail starts. The trail goes thru a proper jungle, right upto the base of the Kanheri contour. Quite a few times I've seen a big herd of deer moving along the trail, long and pretty dangerous looking snakes..... :). Proper off roading stuff. A word of caution. Do not venture alone. Go in a group. Avoid evening rides (post 5 pm). Otherwise....a trail to be enjoyed :) Wud love to join you sometime on the trail.
Hi Team, SOBO riders are planning a trip to the Borivili National Park, Should we join together. Does This Sunday 7:30 in the morning sound good. Is there a restriction there for cyclists, what is the earliest that we can start?
Hi Jitu. 4 the benifit of those not want'g 2 ride their cycles 2 & fro SGNP i suggest a vehicle could start 4 SGNP from Regal Cinema @ 6 so as 2 reach SGNP by 7:30.
Riders could inform the Milestone No. indicat'g their prefered pickup pt. enroute, refer'g map @ http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2857270 to enable us 2 revert back with an ETA 4 their pt. Any suggestions r welcome.
