I am new to cycling and planning to buy a new cycle preferably a hybrid.
After searching many place in last two weekends in Delhi I found only these three bikes are available in shops which are looking good and fits into my budget.
1. TREK 7.1 FX (INR 25,045) (hoping to get 5% discount)
2. Merida CROSSWAY 10-V (Rs. 25,000) (hoping 5% discount)
3. GT 2011 TRAFFIC 2.0 (MRP 28000)(getting in 24000 INR)
So please suggest me for which bike i should go for. I am getting my size in all these models.
Many salesman were saying that buy before prise rise as 2012 model is going to be cost more about 20% or so and they are selling 2011 model . when I asked about other bikes, they said that only limited bikes are available and models you are looking for will come at the end of the year with increased price. So choose any bike form the current stock that they are having.
also suggest me if there any other bike in 20-30k range which could be available in Delhi and have better specification
hi manmohan out opf the three bikes go for trek 7100 fx . and do plz look around for scott sposter 50 at the same price but value for money
i am looking for a bike without any suspension. As in some reviews, people are telling that at this range i will get a bad quality suspension which will do no good and will add more weight and maintenance to it.

I bought a GT Traffic 2.0.... brilliant bike.... loved the feel.. its all about how you feel in a bike... everyone suggested me SChwinn SS but when I was on it I did not like it as much as I did on GT.... Look at ppl's suggestions but in the end its you who is riding the bike
I have a question to the experts on test riding bikes. Generally how is the test ride done and how far can the bike be taken away from the shop. Is there any security deposit to be paid? Since the test bike is also new, up to what level of bad road can it be tested on? Any first hand reports, experiences?
