Yes get it repaired from Reliance Mart, any cycle needs servicing and the frequency depends on how much cycling is done, I have been told by FF guys that first servicing is free and then they charge 350 for each servicing, I get the free one done and now doing many things on my own, its easy to do basic things like washing, oiling, chain degreasing etc...my calculation is do a basic maintenance after 100 Kms, it can also be done on your own. We are thinking of hiring someone to teach us the maintenance part, this is very much needed when you go on long rides.
Sure you can join us...please join our group "FAST TURTLES" you will find necessary information about our trails there..hope to see you soon...Have a nice weekend!!!!!!!
Hi Ajit...FF Target is a MTB which can be used on road, particularly like to mention that "do not compare it with any Hybrid Cycles" (Hybrids are mainly for road and can be used for soft off road).
I did not go for a disk version as V brakes are more than enough to control this cycle and easy to maintain, sorry could not comment on this problem of yours, get is fixed from Reliance Mart or FF Bike Station (refer this link :-http://www.firefoxbikes.com/bike_station.html - FF Target has a warranty of 6 months on parts and 2 years on frame - Hope you have collected your warranty card).
I am happy with FF Target, had a little problem with left paddle initially but got it corrected in first servicing, other than this I did not find any issues, in a month I have completed almost 200 + Kms and all the rides were pretty much comfortable (Even a longer one of 60 Kms).
Some of my analysis before buying this cycle:-
1) This is the only cycle in this price range with a ALTUS derailleurs.
2) FF service is good - they hear and respond to your queries.
3) FF cycles can get you good resale price even after a year or two.
4)26x2.1 Kenda tyres gave you enough friction on road which in turn will make you strong paddler, if your purpose is to loose weight, this resistance will help you more in achieving your TARGET :~)
5) In relation to point # 4 would like to mention that you can change the tyres to 26x1.95 or 26x1.75 and get a smooth long ride, with this change I think this MTB can became ATB (but not Hybrid)
I think FF Target is definitely a good cycle for initial riding of 2 plus years, and after that with lesser width tyres you can still continue your journey, by that time if you develop interest in big long rides then just sell it for a nice price and go for a hybrid or a road cycle.
Hope this helps :~) Have a nice day ahead, Happy Holi!!!
