"I'll consider keeping future events on outskirts of Mumbai as well so people get more practice on highway. One of them could be starting from Borivali. What is more important is to practice for variations than the place to start."

"Advancing the time by 30 minutes so new riders don't have to ride too much in the heat. It's better to keep other factors simple for first couple of rides as experienced, faster riders will anyway finish before it gets hot and the new…"

Samim Rizvi Successfully Completes RAAM 2011

Samim Rizvi is now not only the first Indian to participate in RAAM, but also the first Indian to successfully complete the RAAM.

Samim has completed the distance of 2989.5 miles in 12 days 0 hours, 40 minutes in RAAM Solo Male under 50 category. Though he overshot the finish time by 40 minutes, he has been given a OFCL HONMN status for completing the race.

 

Hoping to see him do better in the future editions of RAAM.…
