hi Vijay, I am Sajal and am about to buy a bike after a long time. Yesterday I went to buy a bike. I initially had Mach/Hawk on my mind. The Shopkeeper showed me Schnell Scrapper (no gears, medium width tyres, @6.5K). I didn't took a ride but liked it by looks.

On Googling, I have realized that Schnell is no German brand and the message boards/forum dont seem to be too kind either.

I liked the bikes look + I dont want a thick tyre (MTB) + my initial budget was 5-6k (extendible somewhat).

Pls can you share your experience with Schnell (ie.quality, comfort) as I dont want to reject it outright as it fits well in my budget and looks good as well. I am on and would be very grateful to you.

Thanks, Sajal

Thanks. Gel saddle is not good for a long tour is the general opinion. But experience it and then let me know your opinion.

Have you tried out bikes like trek, merida, schwinn etc. How do they compare with Schnel?

Wish you all the luck on your trip to Goa.

I have contacted the number given on the site. They said they will contact me. I have given them my number.

What I wanted to ask you is the frame size of your bike. I gather it is 16". My height is 5' 8". I think I need 18" frame size if the bike is an MTB. How good is the frame? and the weight of the bike please. If the dealer contacts me I am surely going to visit the shop and see the bike first hand and if possible test ride it. Let me see how the things develop.

Hey vijay.... read your review and was quite impressed... how's the bike while riding? light heavy/smooth...etc.. considered this bike bike due to the double shocks think it would be heavy to ride and would have to work harder to get speeds on the road? whats your expirience? TC Amit
