10 participants from Pune cover 2000kms within 19 days on bicycle.

24 year old Pradnyesh Molak- a freelance photographer and filmmaker has successfully completed a cycle expedition from Pune along with 10 other participants on December 18.

They crossed over to -

Gujarat

Rajasthan

Punjab

The participants, some of whom are

Businessmen

Government Employees

are not proffessional cyclists, even though they have a passion for cycling.

After some contemplation they decided to take the journey.

Their drive began at 5.30 am in the morning, where they used to cover 70km, and end it up by 5pm in the evening. 

In total, they used to cycle for 140kms a fay.

The group covered 3 districts in Maharashtra,

7 in Gujarat

7 in Rajasthan

and

4 in Punjab

which included destinations like

Khopoli

Vasai

Vadodra

Udaipur

Taal Chaapar

Hanumangarh

Sri Muktasar Sahib, Punjab

They did not fix destinations

They just set targets for the day.

They just pushed themselves.

They were welcomed by King of Udaipur and Vadodra.

They visited many school and colleges on the way, delivered seminars to students of standard 8th-12th.

Other than cycling for 20-30 km everyday, the team rode Pune-Satara-Pune, which was for 400km.

Some of them had undertaken a cycle expedition ipto Ladakh.
