Indian Cyclists Network

Indo Cyclist Club was formed by seven cycle enthusiasts from the city in 2016. At present, there are 2000 members in the group spreading awareness and motivating people to ride cycles.

"Indo Cycling Club" is a socio-environmental non profitable government registered organization based on three aspects Heath, Environment and Enjoyment as well as focus on promotion of fuel free transportation in our country and aiming to spread it across borders throughout the world.

Vishwakant Upadhyay, one of the founder believes, “We have seen that there so many events which run these programmes to earn money but in the end do not motivate people to take up cycling. We are here to provide a platform for everyone by organising programmes which are low on budget but high on spreading awareness. We want more people to use cycles that helps in maintaining healthy body and mind as well as reduces pollution that is caused by cars."

The club also promotes “Cycle to Work” concept which will substantially reduce the pollution levels and also contribute to better physical well-being of the commuters and to spread a message of go green by promoting emission free equipment’s also by more & more tree plantation all over the country.

Vishwakant further adds, he says, "The first and most important thing they focus on is fitness to all who can afford and who cannot afford in a very simpler way.”

Chandan Chourasiya, one of the members from the club believes that is a great initiative where people can come forward and ride cycle and save environment at the same time stay fit.

The club conducts rides on weekly basis where people from any end of the city can participate and has a GPS tracking application in their phone which keeps a track on how much distance is covered and where are they.

ANOTHER FOUNDER GAJANAN KHAIRE ADDS,  "THE CLUB HELPS NGO’S BY VOLUNTEERING  IN PLANTATION DRIVES, RIVER CLEANING AND OTHER INITIATIVES. WE RECENTLY CONDUCTED A DEVOTIONAL RIDE FROM BHAKTI-SHAKTI TO PANDHARPUR TO EXPLORE THE WARI CULTURE IN AN ECO-FRIENDLY WAY.”
