Indian Cyclists Network

Charity Bicycle Ride for Street Children

All cyclists from India are invited to participate in and support this event that benefits street children and raises funds to inform the world about their plight and advocate for their human rights. We especially need cyclists who are familiar with 'off-road' alternative paths to the route we have sketched out on the website:
If you live anywhere near or along the route and can help us map out 'alternative' paths that will get us off busy highways and on pleasant roads and trails between villages along the coasts of India, please get in touch with us. If you would like to cycle along with us and, especially, help us interview street children in the major cities of India along the planned route, then your participation/support is urgently requested so we can communicate more effectively. I plan to publish a book about street children in India and need street children's stories and life histories to provide the content for it. Sales of the book (including donations) will be funneled back into the charities that help and support these children. Please contact me soon if you have comments and/or suggestions. Thanks.

A suggestion, why not have such a ride in Bombay proper .... say, starting off from the suburbs and terminating at NCPA Nariman Point, with interested cyclists joining in enroute. I am sure almost all cyclists will participate willingly, as they did in the Cyclothon and the publicity will be very useful to this project ..........
