My fomas road king got stolen on 29th June'12. After some period of grief I made up my mind to go for another one .. went out thinking to buy a ATB.. .however, I stumbled upon Clubman. And at 1st sight of it decided to buy it.

The cycle is more or less of similar to BSA mach 1. However, the loos are lot better due to sleek and stylish design. The wheel size is similar to BSA Mach 1. It is 7 x 2 speed with schimano. The ride for last  6 months have been extremely smooth and unlike Fomas roadking it has been without a single puncture so far. I have been to my work, from thane to sion/chembur (east), at least a dozen times. I think I love it as much as my old 25 years lod BSA Mach 1.

Although a little bit heavy due to steel frame, Raleigh Clubman is a nice, slimmer, responsive, rugged and affordable bicycle. I took a test ride of same yesterday only. If there are few remaining Clubman bicycles in local or regional stores then you have to find them. Good luck!

Yesterday only, I called up to a sales person in head office of Suncross Bicycles (official dealer of Raleigh in India) and he told me that Raleigh has discontinued Clubman and whole steel frame bicycle series (in India). Those bicycles are no longer displayed on the companies website also. This is a sad news!

Hi Jitendra,

I am planning to buy Raleigh Clubman. If possible I would like to visit you once to see the cycle, or you can provide me the dealer details.

Let me know if I can come and see your cycle or the dealer.

Awaiting your response.

Hi Jitendra, could you please help with the dealer details. I am deciding upon a road bike for city use and wanted to check the sizing. What are the type of shifters you have on the clubman.

thanks

How much did the Clubman cost you? Do you have a PIC to share?
