Discovering the joy, bliss and fresh air...

After a lot of online research, debates with friends and family regarding buying a bicycle I finally bought a basic BSA Ladybird for regular exercise and running errands. Being a first timer there were apprehensions, excitement and anxiety.

My parents actually thought I had completely lost it when I informed them that I have already bought the bicycle. They thought I would put my little one (18 month old) in the basket and travel the city. I am not that insane yet. Maybe if Mumbai had dedicated tracks like Europe and USA maybe but not here.

Yesterday I started my first ride and it was just phenomenal. The sheer pleasure of riding and feeling the air on your face was exhilarating. I wish many more people could discover this joy.

I am absolute amateur at the types of cycles, lingo and the engineering of it all so hopefully as time goes buy maybe I shall too get to know everything about it. I would like to thank all the other members on this website for teaching me how to select a bike, what to look for it and the basics of a bicycle maintenance. Thank you all once again.

Actually waiting for the monsoon to enjoy the rain and the new bicycle.

Happy and safe riding all.....

Hey Neha, this brought a smile on my face :) The feel of the wind in your face and the sense of freedom is what does it for me. I hope to be able to ride again soon with fellow riders from Ahmedabad. Ride and rock!  Eva
